Wendell built Best Life Therapy Services to be the kind of practice he believes his community deserves — one where culture is honored, clinical work is rigorous, and healing happens in safety.
With years of experience across mental health, neurorehabilitation, and clinical supervision, his work is grounded in evidence-based modalities — CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care — and shaped by deep cultural humility.

Antigone Joannou, LCSW, is a compassionate and highly experienced therapist with more than 25 years of experience, helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges, adjust to change, and achieve, meaningful personal growth. She provides a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment, where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Her approach is collaborative, strengths based, and goal oriented, with treatment tailored to each client unique needs.

In addition to psychotherapy, Antigone provides clinical supervision for LMSW therapist working hard toward advanced licensure. She supports emergent clinicians and developing a ethical practice, strengthening clinical skills, and building confidence in their professional roles.

Jennifer Drucker, MA, CCC (Senior SLP)

Jennifer has over 25 years of experience treating patients with speech, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing impairments such as Aphasia, Apraxia, Dysphagia, and Memory deficits following acquired brain injury. Jennifer holds various certifications including MDTP for swallow, VitalStim®, a near-muscular electrical stimulation for the rehabilitation of swallow, and LSVT® for rehabilitation of voice. Jennifer founded and runs our Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) Program. She currently teaches an AAC Workshop/Seminar at Hofstra University. Jennifer is a Certified Lingraphica Technology Specialist, treating people with Aphasia who benefit from Speech Generating Devices as part of a multi-modality approach to communication. Jennifer has been an Adjunct Professor at Adelphi University where she taught Motor Speech Disorders. Jennifer is the coordinator  of the speech pathology student fieldwork program at Transitions. She received her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from CUNY Queens College and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with over 13 years of experience focusing on helping clients navigate and overcome challenges related to depression, anxiety, and grief/loss/trauma. My approach is holistic, addressing not only the immediate symptoms but also the underlying issues that contribute to your struggles. I employ various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psycho-Educational Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness.Â
